We meet on the Globe Inn car park in Standish:
Formed in 2022, we are a friendly , supportive, welcoming community focused running club. We aim to give you the support and belief to achieve whatever your goals are, whether in fitness, health or wellbeing. All our run leaders have LIRF UK Athletics qualifications and hold a full DBS certificate as well as completing a safeguarding course.
We meet on the Globe Inn car park, High Street Standish
Tuesdays @ 6.15pm for 6.30pm start (approximately 4 to 4.5 miles)
Thursdays @ 6.15pm for 6.30pm start (approximately 4 to 4.5 miles)
Sundays @ 9.15am for 9.30am start (approximately 5 to 6 miles)
Each session only £1 and lasts appro.x 1.5 hours
No obligation to come to every session. Just come when you want / can.
Weekday sessions are around the local streets of Standish, whilst Sunday's we go a little further into the local countryside.
We also try and attend local Parkrun activities on a Saturday morning which are free.
PLEASE NOTE: during the winter months, for evening runs you must wear front and back running lights. If not, you will not be allowed to run with the group.

We accommodate those who want a challenging training run and those who just want a social run.
We are not about elitism. We are about togetherness, encouragement and support.
You will be supported by friendly like-minded runners as well as our fully trained run leaders.
Probably the biggest challenge a new runner faces is not knowing how or where to start.
Alongside our weekly runs, we also run a successful 8 week Couch to 5K course. Couch to 5K is a running plan for absolute beginners.
Often when trying to get into exercise, we can overdo it, feel defeated and give up when we're just getting started.
Couch to 5K works because it starts with a mix of running and walking to gradually build up your fitness and stamina.
Couch to 5K is for everyone. Whether you've never run before or you just want to get more active,
If you have any health concerns about beginning an exercise regime like Couch to 5K, make an appointment to see a GP and discuss it with them first.
